[Saturday, December 19, 2015]Highmark Health Insurance Company submitted a rate filing to increase the premium rates for its Small Group Transitional Plans renewing on or after July 1, 2016. The filing proposes a rate increase of 9.9% and will affect approximately 83,699 members. The proposed rate increase will generate approximately $43.3 million of additional annual revenue and will be effective July 1, 2016.
Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to March 2, 2016, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.
