Extension of NPDES General Permit for Discharges from Petroleum Product Contaminated Groundwater Remediation Systems (PAG-05) [42 Pa.B. 7344]
[Saturday, December 1, 2012]Under The Clean Streams Law (35 P. S. §§ 691.1—691.1001) and sections 1905-A, 1917-A and 1920-A of The Administrative Code of 1929 (71 P. S. §§ 510-5, 510-17 and 510-20), the Department of Environmental Protection (Department) is, by this notice, extending for 12 months the availability of the current National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) General Permit for Discharges from Petroleum Product Groundwater Remediation Facilities (PAG-05).
The existing PAG-05 in effect at this time will expire on December 28, 2012. By this notice, the Department is administratively extending the PAG-05 General Permit to December 28, 2013. Persons that are operating under the PAG-05 General Permit may continue to operate until December 28, 2013, or the expiration date of coverage identified on the permit coverage approval page, whichever is later. The Department is extending the availability of this permit to adequately complete preparation of the renewal of the PAG-05 General Permit.
