    Application for a Certificate of Authority for a New Domestic Insurance Company

       Lackawanna American Insurance Company has applied for a Certificate of Authority to operate as a domestic stock casualty insurance company in this Commonwealth. The initial filing was received on October 29, 2001, and was made under the requirements set forth under the Business Corporation Law of 1988 (15 Pa.C.S. § 1 et seq.). Persons wishing to comment on the grounds of public or private interest to the issuance of a Certificate of Authority to the applicant are invited to submit a written statement to the Insurance Department (Department) within 30 days of publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin. Each written statement must include name, address and telephone number of the interested party, identification of the application to which the statement is addressed and a concise statement with sufficient detail to inform the Department of the exact basis of the statement.
