Application of Philadelphia Suburban Water Company and Flying Hills Water Company for approval of: 1) the Transfer, by merger, of the water system assets of Flying Hills Water Company to Philadelphia Suburban Water Company; 2) the right of Philadelphia Suburban Water Company to begin to furnish water service to the public in the service area of Flying Hills Water Company; and 3) the abandonment by Flying Hills Water Company of water service to the public in its service territory located in a portion of Cumru Township, Berks County, PA.

       This application may be considered without a hearing. Protests or petitions to intervene can be filed with the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, Harrisburg, with a copy served on the applicant on or before December 8, 1997, under 52 Pa. Code (relating to public utilities).
