       On November 1, 1999, Keystone Health Plan East submitted a rate filing to increase the pharmacy base rates for its group HMO policies, effective January 1, 2000. The proposed increase ranges from approximately 30% to 36%, depending upon the renewing quarter. These requested increases will apply to the base pharmacy rates for an estimated 180,000 contracts (380,000 members). The estimated additional annual revenue generated from the increase will be $35,000,000.

       A copy of the filing is available for public inspection during normal working hours, by appointment, at the Insurance Department's Harrisburg Regional Office.

       Interested parties are invited to submit written comments, suggestions or objections to Cherri Sanders-Jones, Actuary, Bureau of Accident and Health Insurance, Insurance Department, 1311 Strawberry Square, Harrisburg, PA 17120, within 30 days after publication of this notice in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
