    Intent to Turn Back Old Possessions Road to the Local Governing Entity

     The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (Department), Bureau of Forestry, announces the intent to turn back Old Possessions Road to the local governing entity in Ward Township, Tioga County, extending from Mountain Ridge Road to River Road. Total turn back length is 3.8 miles to Ward Township, Tioga County, to maintain and improve.

     Ownership of the real property underlying the roadway shall continue to be retained by the Department in regard to State Forest Land and by private property owners for those portions of the road crossing privately owned property.

     If Ward Township vacates the roadway, the status of the roadway shall be automatically reinstated and turned back from Ward Township, Tioga County, to the Commonwealth.

     The turn back of Old Possessions Road, Ward Township, Tioga County will be effective November 10, 2012, the date of publication in the Pennsylvania Bulletin.
