The principal items of work and approximate quantities include 650,200 cubic yards of grading, 16,400 cubic yards of drainage excavation, 22,500 square yards of rock lining, 1,980 cubic yards of backfill Taylor Main Shaft, removal and disposal of structural debris and 85 acres of seeding. This project issues on October 31, 2008, and bids will be opened on November 25, 2008, at 2 p.m. Bid documents cost $10 per set and will not be mailed until payment has been received. This project is financed by the Federal Government under the authority given it by Pub. L. No. 95-87 dated August 3, 1977, The Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977, and is subject to that Law and to the Federal Grant for this project.
