  • Termination of Hospital Provider Contracts with St. Joseph Medical Center and Community General Hospital by Capital Blue Cross

       On January 16, 1996, under the Hospital Plan Corporation Act, Capital Blue Cross provided notice of termination of its managed care agreements with St. Joseph Medical Center and termination of the participation of Community General Hospital as a network hospital for members of Keystone Health Plan Central.

       The Insurance Department will hold a public hearing for the purpose of investigating the reasons for the termination of the hospital contracts for St. Joseph Medical Center and Community General Hospital by Capital Blue Cross.

       The hearing will be held as follows:

    Reading, PA

       Anyone wishing to make a statement or comment at the public hearing should contact the Insurance Department on or before October 18, 1996, to be included on the schedule.

       Interested persons are invited to submit written comments to Gregory S. Martino, Deputy Insurance Commissioner, Insurance Department, Office of Rate and Policy Regulation, 1311 Strawberry Square, Harrisburg, PA 17120, on or before October 18, 1996.
