Approval of the Allegheny County Air Quality Program [28 Pa.B. 5528] The Department of Environmental Protection (Department), Bureau of Air Quality Control is announcing the approval of the Allegheny County air quality program with conditions under section 12 of the Air Pollution Control Act (35 P. S. § 4012). The Department has determined that the Allegheny County air quality program is at least as stringent as the Department's air quality program and is, consequently, entitled to approval.
The Department is conditioning approval to ensure that the Allegheny County program is implemented in a manner which is as stringent as the Department's air quality program. The conditions relate to financial assistance, annual workload projection, emissions reporting, source monitoring and reporting, enforcement, ambient air monitoring and air quality permitting.
Copies of the Department's approval of the Allegheny County air quality program are available upon request.
