UPMC Health Plan; Base Rate Filing; Rate Filing [38 Pa.B. 5821]
[Saturday, October 18, 2008]On October 6, 2008, UPMC Health Plan submitted a rate filing to increase the base rates of its HMO Group product. The filing requests an average increase of 5.9%. This filing will affect approximately 5,846 contracts and produce additional premium income of about $2.62 million annually. The requested effective date of the change is November 1, 2008.
Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to January 1, 2009, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.

A copy of the filing is also available for public inspection, by appointment, during normal working hours at the Department's regional office in Harrisburg.
