[Saturday, October 12, 2013]The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources is soliciting bids for the following projects. Bid documents can be obtained from the Administrative Services Section, Bureau of Facility Design and Construction at (717) 787-5055:
FDC-001-3861.1—Bridge Rehabilitation, Structure No. 01-0019, Biesecker Gap Road over Biesecker Run, Forest District 1, Michaux State Forest, Quincy Township, Franklin County. Work included under this contract consists of channel cleaning; installation of rock protection and concrete underpinning; structure mounted and approach guide rail; cleaning and painting steel beams; and masonry substructure repair.
FDC-007-100561.1—Superstructure Replacement, BridgeNo. 07-0031, Bear Run Road over Laurel Run, Forest District 7, Bald Eagle State Forest, Hartley Township, Union County. Work included under this contract consists of demolition of existing superstructure of Bear Run Road bridge crossing Laurel Run consisting of steel I-beams with a clear span of 23`-0". Replacement includes installation of prestressed concrete adjacent box beam bridge on the existing masonry abutments. Work under this contract also includes construction of approximately 240 feet of approach roadway consisting of driving surface aggregate and concrete slabs, guide rail and construction of R-7 Rock along the abutment faces.
FDC-210-7137.1—Rehabilitate Sewage System, Pleasant Valley—Phase I, Moraine State Park, Muddy Creek Township, Butler County. Work included under this contract consists of installation of one sewage duplex pump station with pumping equipment and control and approximately 2,100 feet of 4" HDPE sewer force main. It also includes demolition of an existing pump station, disconnection of part of an existing gravity sewer line and installation of approximately 1,500 feet of 6" HDPE gravity sewer line.
Bid documents will be available on or after October 9, 2013. The bid opening will be held on November 7, 2013.
