DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT Community Services Block Grant Program; Legislative and Public Hearing; Proposed State Plan [43 Pa.B. 6009]
[Saturday, October 12, 2013]The Department of Community and Economic Development (Department) publishes notice of a legislative/public hearing to be held at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, in Room 8E-B, State Capital Building, Harrisburg, PA. The purpose of this hearing is to receive comments on the proposed Pennsylvania 2014-2015 annually-appropriated United States Department of Health and Human Services Community Services Block Grant Program State Plan (2014-2015 plan).
The 2014-2015 plan will authorize the current formula-based distribution of funds to allow for the continued delivery of services by the Commonwealth's 44 community action agencies.
A noteworthy issue in the 2014-2015 plan is the promotion of linkages and partnerships to make maximum use of limited funding. Agencies will also be encouraged to become more involved in community catalytic undertakings.
