     On September 19, 2011, the Insurance Department (Department) received from Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company and Nationwide Insurance Company of America a filing for a rate level change for Private Passenger Automobile insurance.

     Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company requests an overall 1.9% increase amounting to $5,881,871 and Nationwide Insurance Company of America requests an overall 6.0% increase amounting to $7,978,196 to be effective on March 5, 2012, for renewal business only. These overall figures represent averages; the effect of this filing on the rates for individual consumers may vary.

     Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to November 18, 2011, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.
