Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation Advisory Committee Public Hearing and Public Meeting [41 Pa.B. 5232]
[Saturday, October 1, 2011]The Tobacco Use Prevention and Cessation Advisory Committee (Committee) of the Department of Health, established under section 705 of the Tobacco Settlement Act (35 P. S. § 5701.705), will hold a public hearing and public meeting on October 5, 2011, in Room 812, Health and Welfare Building, 625 Forster Street, Harrisburg, PA.
The public hearing will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Comments must be submitted in writing no later than 11:30 a.m. on October 4, 2011, to the Department of Health, Bureau of Health Promotion and Risk Reduction, Division of Tobacco Prevention and Control, Room 1032, Health and Welfare Building, 625 Forster Street, Harrisburg, PA 17120, fax (717) 214-6690. Written comments must be limited to no more than three typewritten pages. Persons wishing to present written statements orally at the public hearing must contact Judy Ochs at (717) 783-6600 no later than 2:30 p.m. on October 3, 2011, to make a reservation for testifying at the hearing. Oral testimony will be limited to 5 minutes. Persons will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis, as time permits.
The public meeting of the Committee will be held from 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the tobacco use prevention and cessation priorities for the State Fiscal Year 2011-2012.
No reservations are required to attend the public meeting.
