Action Being Proposed Date for Considered Promulgation Need and Legal Basis for Action Agency Contact Child Residential and Day Treatment Facility January 1998, as proposed These revisions are being proposed to update regulations, which were last revised on June 7, 1986. The regulations address contemporary changes in the field of residential care and day treatment. The emphasis is on protecting the health, safety and well-being of children served. The Department's legal basis for proposing the regulations is found in Article IX and X of the Public Welfare Code, act of June 13, 1967 (P. L. 31, No. 21) (62 P. S. §§ 901--922 and 1001--1080).
