Pennsylvania Climate Change Action Plan [44 Pa.B. 408]
[Saturday, January 18, 2014]On behalf of Governor Tom Corbett, the Department of Environmental Protection (Department) announces that the Pennsylvania Climate Change Action Plan Update (Plan) was released on December 31, 2013. The Pennsylvania Climate Change Act (71 P. S. §§ 1361.1—1361.8) mandates the preparation of an update to the Climate Change Action Plan issued in December 2009. With advice from the Climate Change Advisory Committee, the Department prepared the Plan, which discusses the reductions in greenhouse gases that have been achieved, provides work plans for additional emission reductions and makes recommendations for legislative action.
