Insurance Services Office, Inc.; Personal Auto Revision; Rate Filing [39 Pa.B. 389]
[Saturday, January 17, 2009]On December 24, 2008, the Insurance Department (Department) received from Insurance Services Office, Inc. a filing for a proposed personal auto revision.
The advisory organization proposes a percentage-based approach to rating Uninsured Motorists (UM) and Underinsured Motorists (UIM) coverages for certain types of vehicles (such as, motorcycles, snowmobiles, ATVs, antique autos) effective September 1, 2009. Loss costs for the coverages and vehicles are currently provided on a flat-dollar basis.
Unless formal administrative action is taken prior to February 22, 2009, the subject filing may be deemed approved by operation of law.
