DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION Availability of 2009 Regional Summer Schools of Excellence Grants [39 Pa.B. 315]
[Saturday, January 17, 2009]Applications for the 2009 Regional Summer Schools of Excellence Grants of $6,000 to apply to the operation of enrichment projects serving academically and/or artistically talented/gifted youth during July and August of 2009.
1. Eligibility Requirements:
Funding is available on a competitive basis to intermediate units; school districts (serving students in more than one district, except in large cities); charter schools; career and technology centers (CTCs or AVTSs) colleges or universities; not for profit regional chapters or councils for the arts; culture and/or educational organizations or consortia of two or more of the above. Applicants may apply for grants to launch new programs or expand or update existing programs.
2. Application Deadline:
Applications are due close of business, February 27, 2009.
