90 Proposed source water assessment and protection program for public drinking water sources under the Safe Drinking Water Act Amendments-- revision
Proposed Source Water Assessment and Protection Program for Public Drinking Water Sources under the Safe Drinking Water Act Amendments--Revision [29 Pa.B. 374] In the December 26, 1998 issue of the Pennsylvania Bulletin (Vol. 28, No. 52), the Department of Environmental Protection (Department) published a notice of a release date for the Pennsylvania Proposed Source Water Assessment and Protection Program. That notice is hereby rescinded. The purpose of this notice is to establish a new release date of February 27, 1999, for the document. The reason for the revised release date is to assure that public input to the Program obtained through a series of six workshops conducted around the State over the last several months is adequately represented in the proposal. The interested public will have 30 days to submit comments on the proposed program after which a revised final program will be submitted to EPA for approval.
In furtherance of the Department's desire to secure the widest possible public input to the development of the source water assessment and protection program, it is with this notice rescheduling an advisory committee meeting. The joint meeting of the citizen and technical advisory committees established to help direct the effort, scheduled for January 7, 1999, has been rescheduled for February 19, 1999. The meeting will be held in Room 105 of the Rachel Carson State Office Building located at 400 Market Street, Harrisburg, PA and begin at 9:30 a.m.
